truth.

Not truth.
No politician in the United States is Hitler. No politician in the United States is a Nazi (unless they are openly part of the American movement, if which case they would never get elected). To even try to make the comparison is insulting. To anyone. It is a profound misunderstanding of not only what a Nazi is, but politics in general.
Hitler killed millions of people. His own people. Concurred people. By the millions. My family. I dare, I fucking dare you, to even try to look me in the face and tell me this. I’m a nonviolent person by practice, but that is too far.
Genocide of any kind is never a joke, and should never be used to make cheap politcal jokes. Never. I don’t care if you don’t like Obama, he’s not Hitler. I don’t care that you don’t like Bush, he’s not Hitler either.
[edit for a pretty big typo]

People are too emotional for the internet. No one is comparing obama to hitler, its probably the comparison of the two as ideas.

1933 was when Hitler came to power after about 5-6 years of gaining massive power because of the late ‘20’s and early ‘30’s economic depression and enacted huge changes to Germany that resulted in the Holocaust and WW2.
Nice try though. Sorry, but when you make the analogy, it is pretty obvious the intended statement. Even if it isn’t, drawing a comparison to bills in 2011 (however wrong or frightening) is not the same a systematic killing of millions of people. Sorry that that outrageous statement got an outrageous response from me.

Good discussion, i found out a lot from it. Mainly that images need to be more clarified. Before reading the comments i thought they were talking about the rise of fascism in both nations, but that may have been cuz i didn’t know that hitler was elected in 1933 >.> but yeaa… like i guess Obama to hItler comparison woulda been cloer to America 2009 (obama election) or 1933 germany? @.@ iono jus my two cents :)

The United Snakes is the best example of a fascist society, not Germany.

So it only matters when genocide is domestic?  What about the 3000 or so tons of depleted uranium the US left floating around Iraq?  That 4.5 billion year half life just committed those people to generational genocide.  And that’s ignoring the several million directly killed by the US invasion.

growfoodraisehell:

I told the jailer who booked me into county that they are killing the planet.  She told me I was fighting back the wrong way.  I said, “Fine, then tell me how.  Should I write a letter?  Should I ask nicely?  Should I vote for a bought and sold politician? What will work?”
She understood.  “The world is run on greed.  I don’t know what would work.”
“Then the only thing a person of conscience can do is put their body in the way.”

I’d be your friend, but I live far away.
